CEMETERY INFORMATION

Ron's Rural Backhoe Service conducts burials in the Dickinson city cemeteries (Dickinson cemetery, St. Joseph's cemetery, St. Patrick's cemetery, St. Wenceslaus' cemetery) as well as New Hradec Cemetery (at families' request, please contact your funeral director concerning your wishes).

Whenever you disturb the earth, it will settle somewhat over time, creating a depression. The same is true of graves. As a result, it is not recommended to seed grass nor set a monument on a grave for one year's time. During that time, I tend to the grave by placing new topsoil upon it as required. If you notice settlement, please contact myself or the City Cemetery department and I will attend to it. Winter or other extreme weather conditions can cause greater settlement than is normal, and should be expected in those cases.
